helping organisations govern AI with confidence.
One of the world's most experienced independent AI leadership teams.
Not a consultancy chasing implementation. Not a think tank disconnected from practice. An independent leadership organisation built to help boards, governments and enterprises make better decisions about Artificial Intelligence.
Faultlines was founded on a single observation: the most consequential decisions about artificial intelligence are being made by people who lack the frameworks to make them well. Boards are approving AI strategies they do not fully understand. Governments are legislating systems they cannot adequately evaluate. Organisations are deploying capabilities whose risks they have not mapped.
The name is deliberate. Fault lines are where tectonic forces meet — where pressure accumulates invisibly until it cannot be contained. AI is creating fault lines across governance, infrastructure, public trust, and institutional resilience. Our work is to make those fault lines visible, and to help the people responsible for managing them do so with rigour and confidence.
We bring together recognised leaders who have governed organisations, shaped policy, built critical infrastructure, and navigated the intersection of technology and public accountability. Our advisory work is selective, senior, and substantive.
Independence
We have no commercial interest in any AI product or platform. Our counsel is shaped by evidence and principle, not by who is paying for the technology.
Rigour
We do not offer reassurance. We offer analysis. Our work is grounded in the disciplines of governance, law, engineering, policy, and organisational science.
Accountability
We hold ourselves to the same standards we advocate for. Our positions are stated clearly, our reasoning is transparent, and we stand behind our conclusions.
Breadth
Responsible AI is not a technical problem with a technical solution. It requires the full range of human expertise — and we have assembled it.
Leadership built on experience.
Responsible AI cannot be addressed through technology alone. It requires expertise across governance, enterprise leadership, public policy, operational resilience, sustainability, infrastructure, law, finance, organisational transformation and artificial intelligence.
The Faultlines Leadership Council brings together recognised leaders who have held executive responsibility within global enterprises, governments, academia and critical national infrastructure.

Our engagements are tailored to each client's needs. We assemble the most relevant expertise from across the Faultlines Leadership Council to support every assignment.
Engage with Faultlines.
We take on a limited number of senior advisory engagements each year. If your organisation is navigating the governance, policy, or strategic dimensions of responsible AI, we would welcome a conversation.
